“A person must make a blessing on the bad just as he makes a blessing on the good.”

“Happy is the person to whom Hashem gives tribulations”. We are fortunate that Hashem chose us to sacrifice a pure and unblemished sacrifice on the altar of atonement. Thanks so much to Hashem that we merited the sublime gift of almost two years of having lovely little Feigie Channa of blessed memory in our midst. Our only alternative is to accept the tribulations with love and joy and to thank Hashem for the survivors of the tragic accident Shimon and his family, who have remained alive and are slowly convalescing from the tragedy that struck them. We thank Hashem Who has graced us with understanding, gratitude and emuna.

We must now arouse the Jewish People with greater vigor and with increased conviction to know and to believe with full and complete emuna that no bad comes forth from the Almighty, and we must not object to the way Hashem blessed is He runs the world, compassionate Father, the Rock Who acts in truth. We will surely see eye-for-eye how everything is for the best, for us and for all of Israel, for that way we will merit to accept our tribulations with love and convert stern judgments into mercy, bringing redemption and salvation to the world.

As such, when we see bitter and harsh decrees as stern judgments strike pure and tender children who are unblemished of sin, we must arouse and strengthen ourselves in all the matters between man and fellow-man, first of all, to refrain from any dissension and baseless hate. We must respect one another, speaking softly and with dignity to every human, and by virtue of that, may Hashem tell the destroyer, “Remove your hand” and send a full and complete recovery to all the sick of Israel and among them, those who were injured in the accident: Shimon Machlouf ben Miriam Varda, Daniella bat Zahava Chaya, Nachman ben Daniella and Miriam bat Daniella.

We thank all of for the wonderful messages of warmth you have conveyed in recent days; who is like the People of Israel, worthy of Redemption in the nearest future.

With much love to everyone,

Rabbi Shalom Arush and Family
