Esav

Yitzchak  (Isaac) and Rivka’s  (Rebecca) son, and Yaakov’s (Jacob) older twin brother. Esav’s name is derived from the Hebrew word “asuy”  denoting “completion, since Esav was born hairy and strong, being completed and not infantile. Esav is also called Edom, which is the land where his descendents settled, and the source of the Roman empire.
