We want to hear positive reports from our readers, the good things you are doing to make this world a better place…

The news is so negative! Papers focus on the bombs and the battles, while, to a large extent, ignoring those little, and not-so-little, acts of goodness that win the war.

We like to focus on the positive. So… we want to hear positive reports from our readers, the good things you are doing to make this world a better place, to bring spirituality into your lives, and, ultimately, add another brick to the building of the third Beit Hamikdash.

Here are a few things I gleaned from the news and noticed in Jerusalem:

Two factories in the north were fierce competitors. When one of the factories was destroyed by a missile, the other factory owner phoned his rival and offered to let him use his facilities to continue his production line during the evening hours, after his workers had gone home for the day.

While walking to the Kotel on Tisha B'Av night, I noticed an entire regiment of soldiers sitting on the floor, reciting Eicha. The soldiers were not religious, and it was obvious that for many of them this was the first time they had ever mourned the destruction. Now, as they were about to lay their lives on the line for their people, they getting a quick glimpse into who we are, why we are, and what we need to become who we should be.

A neighbor of mine, a busy mother and grandmother who also manages to hold down a full time job, told me that now she is on vacation, she is volunteering full-time at a free "soup kitchen" that serves delicious hot meals to the homeless and to the thousands of evacuees flooding the city.

One of our readers recently sent a box of beautiful clothes to distribute to families in Jerusalem. Another reader sent us a box of toys to distribute among the evacuees.

Readers! We need your input! What are YOU doing to end this war? Some women are dressing more modestly, some men are learning more Torah, or screaming at their children less, or eating kosher, or keeping Shabbos. We want to hear from you. Let's strengthen each other by making a positive commitment to bring more spirituality and light into the world.

Please write rachael.avrahami@breslev.co.il  and tell me about something positive that you've seen, or that you are doing. B'ezrat Hashem we will post your letters.
