B'Gan Ha'Chochma - Hebrew
If one were to look at his daily work, secular or religious, he would find it full of errors, just as in this story, the shoemaker comes up with triangular shoes. If so, he is liable to feel disappointed, which is very common, as most people these days are not satisfied with themselves. But Rebbe Nachman teaches that these feelings are all from the Evil inclination. We must learn from the one who put in all his effort, yet all he managed to create was a triangular shoe, but he was happy with his work.
This is Rebbe Nachman's "The Sophisticate and the Simpleton" with insights for our generation by Rabbi Shalom Arush. Hebrew
