Until midnight King David would learn Torah, and then he would sing songs and praises to G-d. Until midnight he would doze on and off, but after midnight he rose like a lion. How did he know it was midnight? A harp was hanging above his bed, and when midnight arrived, the north wind would come and blow on the harp and it would play. He would rise immediately and go to learn Torah until daybreak. When daybreak arrived, the Sages of Israel came to his chambers.
