The Boastful Buck, Concluding Part 22
In this concluding episode, we learn that the only way to get through life peacefully is to trim our “antlers” (the symbol of conceit and arrogance) and to avoid conflict.

The Boastful Buck – Concluding Part 22
Zachary took no credit
For his day of glory
But lived to tell
His legendary story.
“Thank you, Hashem!
My Father, my King
May Your Holy Name
Throughout the forest ring
For You have saved me
From enemies so cruel
That should have learned
Humility in school!”
Then Zachary repeated
His important treatise
“Just trim your antlers,
And live your life in peace!”
Our “antlers” are symbolic of conceit and arrogance. When we trim our “antlers” – which symbolize our selfishness too – then we get through life peacefully and life long and happy lives as winners, just like King Zachary of the deer clan.
