The Grouchy Grizzly, Part 1
Here’s our new series about a grizzly bear with a very bad temper and the tzaddik who knew just how to tame him; let’s see the very special lesson we can learn from them.
By Rebecca Shapiro, based on a story by Rabbi Lazer Brody
The Grouchy Grizzly, Part 1
Deep in the heart of the Lupine Valley
Lived a ferocious Grizzly and his fearful family
The 700 pound sack of pure anger and ferocity,
Scared anyone that came near this pure monstrosity.
His “Grrrrrrrrrrrrrowwwlll!!!” could be confused with a volcano’s explosion
And his temper tantrums could cause a huge erosion.
He stayed to himself all day and all night
For if anyone came close, he’d put up a fight.
Well, old Mrs. Grizzly was finally fed up
With her mean Grizzly husband – it was time for him to wake up!
So she packed up some belongings and her and the cubs were all set
To find the wise man they heard about but never met
Isaac the innkeeper had quite a reputation
For building up human and animal’s spiritual foundation
Mrs. Grizzly knew that all Grouchy needed was guidance and love
With the help of old Isaac and lots of strength from above.
To be continued.
