The Boastful Buck – Part 10

Dandy smirks and laughs

In Zachary’s face

Mimicking the old deer’s

Slow-moving pace

He calculates quickly

That at 40 miles per hour

He’ll run the 8-mile race

In twelve minutes of power.

"You can’t run, old buck!

Your bones are full of rust

So if you want to race

You’ll be eating my dust

You can’t possibly win

So call it a day

Just surrender in peace

And walk away!"

You can’t possibly win

So call it a day

You can’t possibly win

So call it a day!

You can’t possibly win

So call it a day

“You can’t possibly win, so call it a day!”

To be continued.
