My Little Flower

Our children are like small, delicate flowers who need to be watered, taken care of and encouraged. But then, they will decorate our home with beauty!

Someone asked the bus driver about flowers – do we have to pay for them on the bus?

The driver said, “No.

The passenger then yelled out, “Rose, jasmine, lily – come on board!”

Maybe this is a joke, but I said to myself, that this is really how we need to look at our children – like flowers!

To see the good in them, to strengthen themHow many times have I met people who have children and even grandchildren – and they hate their parents. They are emotionally ill and damaged.

And why? They say that their parents, or one of the parents, was always coming down hard on them and broke them. The parents humiliated themand showed contempt for them. They have no healing for their wounds.

Every parent needs to see the real truthYou have flowers at home! Thank you Hashem for my flowers! Water them, take care of them, and make them happy. The most important thing is to encourage them.

And then, when you see the good in the other person, and in your children – then a wonderful fragrance comes forth!

By seeing the good, then you will really start to smell the good in all of your flowers.

May we all merit to smell the good in all of the flowers that are our children. Amen! May it be so!
