Master of the Field (בעל השדה)

Master of the Field (בעל השדה)

Rebbe Nachman's "Master of the Field" speaks of ahavat Yisrael-loving others. When we find the Tzaddik within, we can see the inner beauty of those around us!

Breslev Israel is happy to introduce Rabbi Dovid'l Weinberg!

Rabbi Weinberg is an educator, musician, and author living in Jerusalem with his wife Rina and their three children.

In addition to his beautiful music, Rabbi Weinberg's book, BIRTH OF THE SPOKEN WORD, is a master class on the art of prayer and the prayerful relationship. Emotionally written, yet well sourced, Birth of the Spoken Word presents a richly textured analysis of five key passages from the opening chapters of Sefer  Bereishis (Genesis), placing  tefillah (prayer) at the center of the creation story. The book intergrates a wide range of Jewish scholarship—from Tanach (Jewish Scripture) to the Talmud, the early and later biblical commentaries, and the Master of  Chassidut  and  Jewish thought (the Maharal, the Ramchal, Rebbe Nachman, the Baal HaTanya, Rav Tzadok, Rav Kook, Rav Dessler and Rav Soloveitchik to name a few)—packing a spiritual punch that will revitalize our relationship with Hashem and with others from the inside out.

Rabbi Weinberg composed a song based on Rebbe Nachman’s Torah about the Baal  HaSadeh, Master of the Field.  He sang this song during Rabbi Arush’s Q&A in English  Rabbi Arush  has  been  stressing his message of ahavat  Yisrael  b’mesirut   nefesh  loving   each  other  with self-sacrifice.

Rabbi Weinberg explains, “The song is about how the Jewish people are so beautiful that it is hard to describe her beauty! When each of us finds the point of the Tzaddik inside ourself, we can look at each other and see the beauty in each other. Then we become a bit like the Baal HaSadeh, the one who takes responsibility for the field to make sure that the flowers are watered, that the grass is cut trim, and that everything looks beautiful. Really, sometimes, all we need is a brush-up.”

LYRICS

Know, there is a field

Where very beautiful and pleasing trees and plants grow

The precious beauty of this field and its produce

Is impossible to describe. Happy is the eye that has seen it

Because there is a Master of the Field, a man, deliberate and firm

A warrior and wise, and a very great tzaddik.

Likutei Mohoran #65:1
