There is a connection between the Mount of Olives and Noah’s Ark. Our Sages tell us that when the dove returned to the Ark with an olive’s leaf in its mouth it was bringing an olive leaf taken from the Mount of Olives. This was because the Flood did not inundate the Land of Israel.
