Toldot: Combining Love and Awe of Hashem

  
 
How do we combine and balance love and awe (fear) of Hashem? Avraham served Hashem with love while Yitzchak served with awe. Yaakov was able to combine both in perfect balance.

Hashem revealed Himself to Avraham because he was willing to wait. Closeness to Hashem comes from a willingness to wait and put in consistent effort. The period of waiting involves many difficulties.
