No Room for Anger    Parashat Bo    Beautifully Bashful
Play Video    Play Video    Play Video
Nothing destroys a person's soul like anger does. But the good news is that we can rid ourselves of anger altogether, in a way that's easier than you think!    Why are excerpts from this week's Torah portion comprise two out of the four Torah segments written in our tefillin? What's the message for posterity?    Busha, or bashfulness, is an inborn trait for the descendants of Avraham Avinu. Even before they received the Torah, our ancestors in Egypt were impeccably modest...

       Daily Torah Quote
"He hangs the earth on nothing" (Iyov 26:7). Rabbi Iylah said, "The world exists only in the merit of people who make themselves nothing in the face of controversy." – Chulin 99a
       Joke of the day
A Catholic priest, a Protestant reverend and a rabbi were sitting together on a jet. They were discussing how they separate their own money from what they give to G-d. The Priest said, "I stand in a circle, put all my money in a hat, throw it up and what lands in the circle I give to G-d." The reverend said, "I put all my money in a hat, throw it up and what lands back in the hat I give to G-d." So the rabbi said, "I put all my money in a hat, throw it up and what stays in the air I give to G-d."
