Daily Torah Quote
Hillel would say: One who increases flesh, increases worms; one who increases possessions, increases worry; one who increases wives, increases witchcraft; one who increases maidservants, increases promiscuity; one who increases man-servants, increases thievery; one who increases Torah, increases life; one who increases study, increases wisdom; one who increases counsel, increases understanding; one who increases charity, increases peace. One who acquires a good name, acquired it for himself; one who acquires the words of Torah, has acquired life in the World to Come (Avot 2).
Joke of the day
The American businessman is traveling to Transylvania in Eastern Europe. He is scared about all the traditions of vampires who attack people and suck out their blood. So he asks for advice, and he is told a big cross will save him. He buys a big cross, and now he is in Transylvania. Sure enough the first night in his hotel room there is rustle in his dark room. He wakes up, and he sees this tremendous silhouette in the dark and there are the fangs. Terrified, he whips out the cross and holds it in front of him. Then he hears, "Oy Vey! Boy are you in trouble."
