Hardboiled Eggs, Part 10
By: Rabbi Lazer Brody

By Rebecca Shapiro, based on a story by Rabbi Lazer Brody

Hardboiled Eggs, Part 10

Like everyone else in the valley area, Willy had complete trust in Old Isaac the wise.

And Isaac's promise was fulfilled within a mere two hours, that’s not a big surprise.

When Willy returned to the general store fast as his legs could carry,
He found a huge five-foot long black snake, lying dead by the eggs, boy was it scary.

The snake, a passionate connoisseur of fresh eggs whole and raw,
Was the sole one responsible for breaking the law.

Like both times before, the snake swallowed the eggs whole,
Not knowing the results of what would occur if he stole.

This time, the eggs were hardboiled and the snake choked to death.
And Willy was finally able to take a fresh air breath.

Thrilled, Willy called the inn to inform Old Isaac of the good news
"How did you know the thief was a snake, Isaac? Did you have any clues?"

To be continued.
