Little Nachman – Part 26

If you go to bed at night, and you’re a little bit worried or afraid of something, remember that you’re not alone. Hashem is always with you. You can speak to Him whenever you want, even under the covers at night.

Just say, "Hashem, help me feel that You’re right here with me so that I won’t be afraid of the dark or of being alone. Now that I’m talking to you, let me feel that I’m safe and that You’re always watching over me. How wonderful it is to know that when I go to bed, You tuck me in; while I’m sleeping, You never leave the room. When I wake up, You’re right there too. Thank You, Hashem, for being such a loving Father in Heaven. You run the whole world, yet You give me the personal attention of caring for me all day long. Help me speak to You and to express all my feelings. Please give me all my needs. Help me have good friends that will help me be good and successful, and keep me away from bad friends that will be a bad influence."

Soon, you’ll feel so much better. Then, you can say: "Thank You, Hashem – I feel safer and happier now. Thank You for being such a caring and loving Father in Heaven who’s never too busy to talk to me anytime or anywhere. Thank You for listening to me, Hashem!"

"Thank You, my Father in Heaven."

"I love you so much, Hashem!"

To be continued, G-d willing.
