My name is Tola’at, I’m a worm in the ground, I live in the garden and dig all around. My family and I Weren’t born but were hatched, Our cocoons were so tiny, and you see, we all matched. HaShem created earthworms To mix soil that has hardened It helps the plants grow in a soft, fertile garden. I work with my friends, As we dig up the ground, We make tunnels in the dirt and often leave a big mound! I crawl on my stomach, And I move oh so slow, But without arms or legs it’s the best way to go. I eat fruits and veggies, Oatmeal fills up my tummy, Carrots, apples and bananas, they’re all healthy and yummy. But when daylight turns dark, And the sun sets over the hill, I go into my room where it’s quiet and still. I crawl to my bed, Say my prayers for the night, And rest in sweet slumber until morning’s first light. Good night, Mommy! Good night, Daddy! Good night, HaShem!
