Let’s make an energy shift toward joy. Salvation originates from happiness, as the darkness that we previously experienced prepares us for a new light. The battle for happiness occurs in the service of the heart. When a person is joyful, his heart opens to the answers that he seeks to life’s many questions. An open heart creates space for giving, growing, and healing.

Finding joy in our lives can be difficult, especially when it may feel that things aren’t going our way. A wife may say, “If only my husband would be more romantic”, while a single woman may say, “If only I had a husband”, or a couple may say, “If only we had a child”. Although it seems like our problems are just one solution away from the perfect life, it’s important to remember that every person experiences their share of struggles based on what they need to rectify in this world. No one has a perfect reality. The key is finding the good points within the chaos and hardship, by focusing on the many areas that warrant immense appreciation.

Happiness is something that we need to fight for. This fight requires an impeccable strategy for becoming engaged with our minds in order to separate from our thoughts. We must find what is preventing us from our happiness and tackle it head-on.

By delving into the recesses of our minds and questioning the elements which prevent us from mastering our focus, we can then begin to control what we pay attention to and discover the high cost of giving into our temptations, weaknesses and self-doubt.  We can ask ourselves, “what is preventing me from being truly happy?”, “How does the food I eat, the shows I watch, or the people I interact with affect my happiness”?

After identifying the underlying cause of our obstacles to happiness, we must find enough leverage to make the necessary changes. We can ask ourselves, “What is the projected outcome of continuing along this path of self-destructive behavior?”, “Which steps can I take to change the way I look at things, how I treat my body, and who I allow into my personal social network?” Working with the answers to these questions will redirect us to the optimal state of mind for lasting change.

We each have the ability to attract what we want by re-framing our mindset to see the blessing in each situation. The silver lining shines brightest around the greyest of clouds, just as blessing sneaks through in the most unexpected moments. It is in the moments of intense darkness that we need to cry out to our creator and ask Him for assistance in re-framing our perception; so that we can recognize the happiness that is present in our hearts and allow it to manifest into every other aspect of our existence.
